Deputy Director of the Department of International Organizations of the Foreign Ministry, Mrs. V.Ulziibayar, has delivered a report on the policy of the Government of Mongolia towards the protection and promotion of children’s rights at UNGA 3rd Committee session on the “Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Children”.
Ulziibayar highlighted the progress achieved by the global community in the implementation of the Convention of the Rights of Children and Millennium Development Goals and expressed concern about the range of challenges the world still faced in protecting the rights of children. She noted that Mongolia pays particular attention to the creation of child-friendly environments through revising its legal policy in accord with international norms. She presented comprehensive information on poverty, the worst forms of child labor, and infant mortality in Mongolia.
