2015 American Film Showcase in Mongolia held

2015 American Film Showcase in Mongolia was held past week. The event showcased award-winning contemporary American documentaries, feature films and animated shorts offering a view of American society and culture.

Part of the showcase were workshops and master classes for Mongolian filmmakers, students, and the public conducted by experienced filmmakers, namely the director of the 2015 AFS feature film, Uranium Drive-In, Suzan Beraza, and director Tim Skousen. The screened films explored diverse topics including freedom of the press, rural poverty, civil rights, social justice, sports, gender equality, environment, and economic development.
