Ambassador to Albania presents credenials

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Albania Sh.Odonbaatar presented his credentials to President of Albania Bujar Nishani on March 6.

At a meeting held upon the official ceremony, the Mongolian Ambassador informed of the socio-economic situation, investment climate, projects and program carried out in Mongolia. Noting that this year is marking the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Albania, the Ambassador emphasized wide opportunities for the cooperation in the areas of trade and economy, culture, science and tourism.

President Bujar Nishani said Albania is greatly interested in developing relations with Mongolia.

Ambassador Sh.Odonbaatar had meetings with Albanian Parliament Speaker Ilir Meta and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sokol Dervishaj. The parties forwarded certain proposals on developing bilateral cooperation between parliaments, establishing a cooperation memorandum between foreign ministries of the two countries, organizing bilateral political consultations, and establishing an agreement on facilitation of travel conditions. The parties talked about cultural events to be hosted within the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
