Days of Mongolia launched in Hong Kong on March 18 with a view to promote Mongolian cultural heritage and tourism. Coinitiated by the “Earth” Mongolian Cultural Association, “Asia Society”, “Royal Geographical Society”, “Oddyssey publications” organizations, the event is hosted with official support of the Consulates General of Mongolia in Macao and Hong Kong and sponsorship of the Hunnu Air company.
During the Days of Mongolia to last for a week term, a broad spectrum of events are expected including presentation of “Chinggis Khaan and Mongol Empire” book coauthored by Asia Society and Smithsonian Institute, a meeting with Carl Robinson, author of “Mongolia is Nomad Empire of Eternal Blue Sky”, a cultural performance, a workshop on khoomii – throat singing, a presentation on Mongolia for Island School teachers and students. The “Khusugtun” folk art ensemble will perform as well.
