Erdenes TT Company to double coal export in 2015

State run Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi Company is to double the coal export in 2015. In 2015, Erdenes Tavantolgoi plans to export 11 million tons of coal, twice as much as it exported in 2014. Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi led national coal export companies with its export volume in 2014 which comprised 60 percent of the nation’s coal export. It supplied 10 percent of China's coal imports in 2014.

The TT`s West and East Tsankhi blocks will be developed by a consortium of Mongolia’s Energy Resource LLC, China Shenhua Energy, and Japan’s Sumitomo Corporation with which the government of Mongolia is in progress to establish an investment agreement. Having developed its West and East Tsankhi blocks by the consortium the TT`s annual coal export will be increased to 30 million tons.
