Foreign Minister of Republic of Korea visit Mongolia

Upon the invitation of the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Mr. L.Bold, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Yun Byung-se paid an official visit to Mongolia on August 25 and 26.

While his visit, Mr. Yun Byung-se paid courtesy calls on the President of Mongolia, H.E. Mr. Ts.Elbegdorj and the Prime Minister, H.E. Mr. N.Altankhuyag, held official talks with his Mongolian counterpart Mr. L.Bold and attended a Mongolia-RoK business forum.

During the talks, Mr. L.Bold said Mongolia stands for enriching the Mongolia-RoK comprehensive relations with economic and investment cooperation, celebrating the 25th anniversary of Mongolia-RoK diplomatic relations to be marked next year at top and high levels, and lifting bilateral ties up to a new stage.

According to Mr. Yun Byung-se, the Republic of Korea has a determination to forward bilateral cooperation in the railway and sea transportation areas with Mongolia which occupies strategically important location linking Eurasia within "Eurasia Initiative" proposed by the President of the Republic of Korea, Ms Park Geun-hye and to foster bilateral relations and cooperation in all spheres.

The sides shared views on issues concerning the facilitation of travel conditions for nationals of the two countries and some regional issues of mutual concern.
