Minister foreign affairs L.Purevsuren meets US ambassador

Minister for Foreign Affairs L.Purevsuren received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of United States of America to Mongolia on 24 December and talked about issues concerning the current development and further aspiration of bilateral relations and cooperation.

Ambassador Piper Anne Wind Campbell congratulated L.Purevsuren for being appointed as a foreign minister and exchanged views on latest events occurred recently within the framework of mutual relations and cooperation between Mongolia and USA as well further measures to be carried out in the future.

Minister L.Purevsuren briefed on the missions by new government of Mongolia and new structure of Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and also he expressed gratitude for selecting Mongolia for Second Millennium Challenge Corporation Compact and stated that Mongolia is willing to establish an authorized working group to conclude an agreement by conducting researches.

Furthermore, two sides agreed to organize recurrent consultative meeting of ministries of foreign affairs between Mongolia and USA as well as meeting of United States-Mongolia Council on Trade and Investment within the first quarter of 2015.
