Mongolia and Hungary Held Official Talks

After the meeting, President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj and President of Hungary Janos Ader held officials talks. At the bilateral talks, from Mongolians side, Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Purevsuren, Minister of Industry D.Erdenebat, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Hungary T.Gandi, from Hungarian side, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Mongolia Andrea Cecilia Szilas, representatives of the Hungarian President’s Office and other officials were present.

President Elbegdorj emphasized that this visit is coinciding with the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Hungary and noted that there are ample opportunities for the development of bilateral relations and cooperation.
President of Hungary Janos Ader expressed his belief that this visit will contribute to the mutual relations and partnership between the two countries.

The parties discussed and exchanged views on the new opportunities to enhance mutual ties and cooperation as well as the most pressing issues facing the world. Presidents of two countries discussed issues of development in trade, economic, investment, education, environment, agriculture, and other sectors which are the important factors for bringing the mutual traditional relations into a new stage of development.

During the talks, both sides agreed to establish a Program on Cooperation in education, culture and science sectors in 2015-2017 between the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science of Mongolia and Ministry of Human Capacities of Hungary. This will allow up to 100 Mongolian students to study in Hungary every year through the Hungarian Government’s scholarship.

Also, Presidents discussed to re-open the Embassy of Hungary in Ulaanbaatar.
