Mongolia to Chair International IDEA in 2016

Deputy Director of the Policy Planning and Research Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Economic Cooperation of Mongolia, G.Amartuvshin attended the 23rd session of the International IDEA Council of Member States held in Gaborone, Botswana on November 25 and 26.

The session elected Mongolia the Chair of International IDEA Council of 2016. As a rule, Mongolia will work as deputy chair of the organization until it assumes the chairmanship in 2016. Mongolia joined International IDEA in 2011. In 2013, Mongolia was elected a member of its council at the previous 22nd session.
