Mongolia will produce construction materials of ash from power stations. Professors of the Mongolian Institute of Science and Technology in cooperation with their Japanese colleagues are working to implement a project “Green future” which aims to manufacture construction materials of the ash from the local thermal power stations.
The thermal power stations of Mongolia produce an average one million tons of ash a year. With the “Green future” project successfully implemented Mongolia would be able to have produced some 800 thousand tons of construction materials from the waste ashes and make enormous savings on the construction materials import. The project is designed for 8 years and envisages a great deal of surveys, training of national researchers and introduction of progressive technology.
