Traditional annual Spring Festival-2014 was held at the Hikarigaoka Park, Tokyo. The festival was organized by the Union of Mongolian Students in Japan (UMSJ) in association with the Mongolian Embassy in Tokyo, the administration of Nerima-ku and Japanese public organizations for friendship and cultural cooperation with Mongolia.

In Mongolian ger and tents assembled on the site, photo and fine arts exhibitions were staged and calligraphy and traditional games were introduced as well. Over ten Mongolian and Japanese cuisine tents catered for visitors. National wrestling competition, photo and drawing contests and many other activities were organized to promote Mongolian culture to Japanese public.

In the context of the festival, the Mongolian College hosted a workshop on the education and socio-economic development of Mongolia which was attended by former Ambassador of Japan to Mongolia M.Hanada, scholars from Hitotsubashi and Aoyama Universities and economists. Consular services were provided on the site as well.
