President Attends Nauryz Festival

On March 22, the people of Kazakh widely celebrate the traditional spring festival Nauryz, where the day and night are of equal length. In recent years, the authorities of Bayan-Ulgii province are decided to organize the traditional spring festival at the Chinggis Square. The President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj was present at the cultural festival “Kara Jorga” and delivered greetings to the Kazakh people. Also the Chief of Staff of the Office of the President P.Tsagaan, Advisors to the President A.Ganbaatar, L.Erkhembayar and other officials were present at the event.

In his greetings, President Elbegdorj noted: “I am pleased to be here as we celebrate the traditional spring festival Nauryz. On this celebration of spring, I would like to emphasize the diligence of our Kazakh people which helped them successfully weather the harsh winter. The Kazakh people are known for their love for freedom, meticulousness, and openness.

Kazakh citizens are working and creating in every corner of our country and the people of Bayan-Ulgii province have achieved great success. I am truly delighted to see that the Nauryz festival is organized at the Chinggis Square, the heart of Ulaanbaatar city. Although, in some ways, people of Mongolia represent different ethnicities with their own heritage and culture, we have always been bonded by our common fundamental interests as the citizens of Mongolia, and our respect towards each other’s uniqueness, traditions, and culture. I extend my hearty wishes for the traditional Nauryz Holiday, and good health and prosperity”.
