President Elbegdorj Attends the SCO Summit
President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj is attending the 14th summit of the Council of Heads of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States in Dushanbe, the Republic of Tajikistan. Shanghai Cooperation Organization /SCO/ members are formed from six countries:

President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj is attending the 14th summit of the Council of Heads of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States in Dushanbe, the Republic of Tajikistan. Shanghai Cooperation Organization /SCO/ members are formed from six countries: Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. SCO’s top priorities are the regional security, building up joint capabilities to combat terrorism, extremism and drug trafficking.
There are rumors going around the SCO summit that Mongolia will join the SCO, but President Elbegdorj denied it by saying that Mongolia will continue to maintain observer status in the SCO. The 14th summit of the Council of Heads of the SCO will be concluded today.
