South African ambassador works in Mongolia

Nonresident Ambassador of South Africa to Mongolia, Mr. Bheki Langa worked in Mongolia on May 4 to 9 in connection with the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and South Africa.

During his stay in Ulaanbaatar, Mr. Bheki Langa had meetings with Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ts.Oyungerel, Minister of Environment and Green Development S.Oyun, parliament members S.Odontuya and G.Batkhuu, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs D.Gankhuyag and Deputy Minister of Mining O.Erdenebulgan. At the meetings, issues were touched upon moving forward bilateral relations and cooperation in the fields of mining, energy, environment, education, culture and sports and promoting people-to-people contacts and those between private sectors of the two countries.

A memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the Foreign Ministries of Mongolia and South Africa was signed by Deputy Foreign Minister D.Gankhuyag and Ambassador Bheki Langa.

Furthermore, Ambassador Bheki Langa visited the National University of Mongolia where he delivered a lecture on South Africa, bilateral relations to students and answered to questions from the audience.
