Student-Soldiers Took Oath

Upon the Decree #92 of President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj and 40th resolution of the Government, the Student-soldier program has been launched nationwide in April, 2014. On August 13, 2014, the first oath taking ceremony was held at the Chinggis Square and a total of 418 student-soldiers from 42 universities participated.

President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Mongolia, initiator of the program Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj, Chief of Staff of the President’s Office P.Tsagaan, Member of Parliament, Minister of Defense D.Bat-Erdene, State Secretary of Ministry of Defense, Major General Z.Boldbaatar, Chief of the General Staff of the Mongolian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Ts.Byambajav, President of Mongolian Students Union Kh.Batsaikhan, officials of the Ministry of Defense and parents of student-soldiers were present at the ceremony.

After President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj congratulated the student-soldiers for taking oaths, a student of Mongolian University of Science and Technology Ch.Bayarbileg delivered remarks, representing the student-soldiers of Mongolia.
