Mongolian Prime Minister visits China

The Prime Minister of Mongolia, Altankhuyag, is paying an official visit to the People’s Republic of China on October 22 through 26 by the invitation of Li Keqiang, the Premier of China. Altankhuyag will attend the 14th Western China International Fair that will take place in Chengdu, Sichuan Province.

Mongolia and China will strengthen cooperation in trade, political, security and other areas, while bilateral economic and trade cooperation are expected to reach a new level, said Altanhuyag.

Furthermore, on future cooperation between two countries, Mongolia and China will formulate long-term strategic partnership development outlines, and strengthen cooperation in the fields of trade, politics, defense, and security, with a focus on the economy and trade.

During his visit, the Premier will visit Liaoning Province, and will meet authorities of the seaport cities. He will also meet with leaders of the China-Mongolia Trade Association.

In June 2011, China and Mongolia established a strategic partnership. Statistics show that in 2012, bilateral trade volume reached 6.6 billion U.S. dollars. China has been Mongolia's largest trade partner and investor for many years.
