Ambassador of Mongolia to the Netherlands Kh.Davaadorj delivered a key note at a Center for East Asian Studies Groningen Launch Conference held on May 8 and 9.

Ambassador Kh.Davaadorj said the setup of the Center for East Asian Studies Groningen (CEASG), including the Mongolian Studies at the University of Groningen complies with the Mongolia’s state and government policy on the promotion and development of the Mongolian studies. In speaking on the socio-economic situation in Mongolia, investment opportunities and its foreign policy, the Ambassador made an emphasis on Mongolia’s policy towards the East Asian region, initiative “Ulaanbaatar Dialogue” forwarded by President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj, Mongolia-EU relations and cooperation, and on the importance of Partnership and Cooperation Agreement.

Afterwards, Ambassador Kh. Davaadorj had a meeting with President of the University of Groningen, Prof. Sibrand Poppema and CEASG Director Tjalling Halbertsma. The sides exchanged views on issues concerning the cooperation the University of Groningen maintains with the Mongolian universities.
