Today /2014.06.24/  President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj received Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey Cemil Cicek. President noted that enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation with its third neighbor – Turkey remains one of the top priorities in Mongolia. Speaker of the Parliament of Turkey Mr. Cemil Cicek conveyed President of Turkey Abdullah Gul’s sincere greetings to President Elbegdorj.

Mr. Cemil Cicek mentioned that this year the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Turkey will be celebrated and said that the two countries maintain unique cultural and historical relationship.

Mr. Cemil Cicek noted that there are over 100 documents and agreements signed between the two countries proving the high-level of mutual relations and said that he will pay every attention to expand bilateral economic cooperation. He pledged to support Mongolian students to study at Turkish universities and collaborate in air transportation, infrastructure and energy sectors and expressed his readiness to share Turkish development experiences with Mongolia.

President Elbegdorj underscored the importance of maintaining frequent dialogue in further strengthening bilateral relations and expressed his respects for traditional friendly relations between the two countries. President Elbegdorj together with the Prime Minister of Turkey Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan participated in the opening ceremony of the Complex in Orkhon Aimag and 46 km road to Khushuu Tsaidam in 2005.

President Elbegdorj conveyed his warm greetings to the President of Turkey Abdullah Gul and wished success in their future endeavors.
