Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Mongolia Mr. Stanislav Vladimirovich Chepurny handed letter of credence to President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj. Following the ceremony President received and congratulated newly appointed Ambassador.

From 15 post-Soviet states, only Russia and Kazakhstan had their embassies in Ulaanbaatar and now a resident Embassy of Belarus was opened in Mongolia.

President Elbegdorj noted: “For the past few years, bilateral relations between the two countries have been developing rapidly. Our two countries have made remarkable progress since the visit of Prime Minister of Belarus in 2013. Thanks to the inter-governmental official talks number of issues addressed and the first resident Embassy of Belarus opened in Ulaanbaatar, which means that Belarus attaches great importance to its relationship with Mongolia”.

Mr. Stanislav Chepurny said: “I’m glad to deliver a letter of credence. Indeed, our bilateral relationship is more robust and more vibrant than any time. Inter-Governmental relations have been intensifying, creating positive legal environment and maintaining frequency of bilateral high-level visits. I approve the Belarusian President’s invitation to President Elbegdorj to visit Belarus at his most convenient time. I’m confident that your visit will make great impetus to the bilateral relations between the two countries”.
