On August, 12, 2015, members of the State Great Hural (Parliament) L.Bold, J.Batzandan and Ts.Oyungerel have attended a press conference and gave some clarifications regarding the adoption of the Law on Pardon.

Members mentioned that the Law of Mongolia on Pardon was ratified in 1991, 1996, 2000, 2006, 2009 and August 2015 respectively. According to the latest legal document, citizens of Mongolia: committed a crime (misdemeanor/felony) for the first time, women with children under the age of 18, pregnant women, people with disabilities lost working capacity more than 70% as well as persons committed crimes when were underage will be exempted from the rest period of sentences or from additional terms.

Also, they affirmed that a Commission responsible on organizational issues in implementation of the Law on Pardon was agreed to establish at the Legal standing committee meeting held this morning on August 12, 2015.
