Today Chief of Staff of the Office of the President P.Tsagaan met with representatives from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation /SDC/. At the meeting, Advisor to the President of Mongolia L.Dashdorj and officials of SDC led by Vice Director of SDC Mr. Deepak Elmer were present. Mr. Deepak Elmer noted that SDC implements number of good projects in Mongolia and underlined the successful initiatives of the President Elbegdorj in direct democracy, promoting civic participation, and budget transparency. Mr. Deepak Elmer said that he will continue to work in close cooperation to support President’s initiatives.

In response, Mr. Tsagaan noted: “President Elbegdorj launched many successful initiatives. In the scope of civic participation and budget transparency initiative, President Elbegdorj submitted to the Parliament the Budget Transparency law and it will take into effect on January, 2015. We are truly pleased with all the projects and works implemented by SDC in Mongolia and we look forward to more close collaboration. I wish you success in your future endeavors”.
