Today /2014.12.04/ Chief of Staff of the Office of President of Mongolia P.Tsagaan held a meeting with Regional Director of the World Organization for Animal Health / OIE / Francois Saya. Mr. Francois Saya informed that OIE is on the way to organize the Global Conference on Pastoralism in Mongolia in June, 2015. Mr. Francois Saya noted: “We are here to pursue the work that has been engaged by our Director General Bernard Vallat / OIE / with President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj in May 2012, to work on the establishment of an alliance of countries undertaking pastoralism activities. Since then, many works and activities were done and we exchanged letters with Mongolia for the organization of the Global Conference on Pastoralism. The way the OIE works is that those conferences usually are the very good way to raise a profile on a certain issue”.
