Today /2014.12.08/ Chief of Staff of the Office of President of Mongolia P.Tsagaan held a meeting with Member of the German Bundestag Mr. Manfred Grund, Konrad-Adenauer Foundation consultant for Northeast Asia Mr. Tomislav Delincic, representative of Konrad-Adenauer Foundation to Mongolia Mr. Johannes Rey and representative of Konrad-Adenauer Foundation to Mongolia Mr. Daniel Schmucking. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Mongolia Mr. Gerhard Thiedemann was present at the meeting.

Member of the German Bundestag Mr. Manfred Grund noted that a German-Mongolia summit will take place in the scope of the 40th Anniversary of establishment of the diplomatic relations between the two countries. He said: “Our two countries enjoy bilateral historic relations. Mongolia is the one of the countries that Germany has been maintaining traditional friendly relations. Konrad-Adenauer Foundation has successfully accomplished its duty in Mongolia. A coalition Government is to be established in Mongolia which certainly will face new difficulties and challenges”.

Chief of Staff Mr. Tsagaan noted: “We are pleased to welcome guests from Germany, in particular, from the Konrad-Adenauer Foundation. The cultural relations between our two countries were established almost 100 years ago. Mongolia ranks high by the number of its German speaking people. In these days the 25th Anniversary of Democratic Revolution is being celebrated in Mongolia.

The people of Mongolia appreciate Germany for being the first European country to support Mongolia in the years of dual transition. Government and the people of Germany, Konrad-Adenauer Foundation and other international foundations have made significant contribution to Mongolian peaceful democratic transition. Therefore, on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the Democratic Revolution in Mongolia, I would like to convey my sincere appreciation to the state and the people of Germany. Thank you for your cooperation with the Office of the President of Mongolia”.
