Today President Elbegdorj visited the Faculty of Mongolian Studies at the Charles University in Prague. The Charles University is one of the oldest universities in the world founded in 1348. The Charles University was the first university in the central Europe and has the biggest center for Mongolian studies in Europe.

During the visit to the university, President Elbegdorj noted: “I am glad to visit the Charles University in Prague, which has rich history. I literally feel the positive energy of the scientists, teachers and students of the university. Our two countries maintain friendly bilateral relations, that established by our senior generations.

During the socialism, many scientists and experts from Czech travelled to Mongolia to participate in the creation. We know that our Czech friends contributed to the development participating in the geological studies, construction of hospitals and factories. We know that in terms of economic partnership Czech was the second after the Soviet Union”.
