A meeting of honorary consuls of foreign countries to Mongolia was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on February 24. At the meeting attended by honorary consuls, statements were made on the implementation of foreign relations policy of Mongolia in 2013 by Director of the Department of Policy Planning and Research of the Foreign Ministry Ts.Batbayar and on the activities of the Consular Department Director of the Consular Department Sh.Sukhbaatar.

In honor of foreign honorary consuls, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia L.Bold gave a lunch. Honorary consuls of foreign countries that have not opened their embassies in Mongolia expressed their readiness to maintain closer cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the increase in foreign investments in Mongolia and in number of foreign tourists, the facilitation of travel conditions, the promotion of the countries they represent among the Mongolian people and the development of bilateral friendly relations respectively.

The meeting was resulted in electing Honorary Consul of Thailand to Mongolia L.Lkhagvaa the head of the Union of Honorary Consuls.
