
The “Mongolian Secret History” exhibition has opened at the State Palace. This exhibition introduces Mongolian history in a unique way, promoting Mongolian culture and script, and enhancing Mongolian national pride.
It took four months to copy and write Mongolian Secret History in Mongolian script. The calligrapher, E.Odbayar says, he did not just copy and write the text, but he felt the main point of the writing in his heart.
E.Odbayar, Artist at Cultural Writing Center, “My writing on this board includes all 12 chapters of “Mongolian Secret History”. Foreigners have also gathered at the exhibition to learn about Mongolian history. A professor from South Korean Hannam University, who is interested in calligraphy said, Mongolian writing has unique qualities. Mongolian Secret History is the oldest surviving Mongolian-language literary work. It was written for the Mongol royal family sometime after Genghis Khan's death in AD 1227, by an anonymous author, and was probably originally written in Uyghur script.
