Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia L.Bold received Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Mongolia Christopher Stuart on February 6. The latter handed over to Minister L.Bold a letter from UK Foreign Secretary William Hague and talked about activities planned within bilateral relations for 2014.

Minister L.Bold said he is convinced that works performed in the light of the semicentennial anniversary of Mongolia-UK diplomatic relations marked last year would be resulted in the stimulation and development of bilateral trade and economic relations and cooperation and that British companies would participate in large-scale projects expected to implement in Mongolia and moreover negotiations would succeed for a financing agreement to fund the second stage of Oyu Tolgoi mine.

The parties agreed to study possibilities for the high-level participation of Mongolia in Investment Forum to be hosted in London this year and in global summit on preventing sexual violence in conflict initiated by UK Foreign Secretary William Hague.
