
Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia L.Purevsuren and Ambassador of Japan to Mongolia T.Shimizu signed an exchange note between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of Japan on the implementation of “Project to producing detailed technical drawing of Mongolia-Japan Teaching Hospital” with grant aid of MNT 2.2 billion and on providing non-project aid of MNT 3.1 billion to be provided from the Government of Japan.
Opening the teaching hospital will provide Mongolians with an access to high standard medical center with highly skilled personnel and the project is expected to be an important move within the framework of Mongolian government healthcare system reform.
Non-project grant-aids provided by the Government of Japan has been a highly valued contribution for Mongolia to overcome the obstacles during the transition process to market economy, improving economic structures and reduce foreign trade deficit.
The non-project aid will be earmarked for purchasing equipment necessary for Japanese "Kosen" College of Industrial Technology of Mongolian University of Science and Technology.
