Upon the invitation of the President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj, the President of the Federal Republic of Germany Joachim Gauck arrived in Ulaanbaatar for State Visit on October 14, 2015. Today, on October 15, an official welcoming ceremony for the Federal President Joachim Gauck and Ms. Daniela Schadt was held at the Chinggis Square.
Federal President Joachim Gauck was welcomed by President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj and his spouse Kh.Bolormaa at the Chinggis Square. At the welcoming ceremony, the honor guards were formed and the state hymns of the two countries were sounded. Then, children with Mongolian national costume presented wreaths to the honorable guests.
After, President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj and his spouse Kh.Bolormaa, Federal President Joachim Gauck and Ms. Daniela Schadt paid tribute to the statue of Chinggis Khaan. Federal President Joachim Gauck and Ms. Daniela Schadt signed the honorable guest book and headed to the State Ceremonial Ger Palace to hold bilateral meeting with President Elbegdorj.
