
On August 12, 2015, the standing committee on Legal affairs of the State Great Hural (Parliament) discussed a parliament draft resolution to form a Commission in conjunction with ratification of the Law on Pardon.
Commemorating the 25th anniversary of the first democratic election held in Mongolia, the Commission is responsible on organizational issues in implementation of the Law on Pardon and the draft resolution cites: Commission members would be comprising from the following authorities.
Commission members:
Head - Chairman of standing committee on Legal affairs, MP D.Ganbat
Deputy Head - Vice Minister of Justice Ts.Uugangerel
Secretary - Deputy head of General executive agency of court decision G.Tuulkhuu
Members: MP O.Baasankhuu, MP Su.Batbold, MP Ts.Oyungerel, Head Judge of the Criminal Chamber at the Supreme Court T.Urantsetseg, Assistant to the State General Prosecutor Ye.Sagsai, Mayor's Deputy in charge of Social development issue Ts.Enkhgerel, and Head of Investigation Division at the General Department of Police D.Naranbaatar.
During the discussion, MP O.Baasankhuu and MP Ts.Oyunbaatar proposed to involve in the membership of the Commission the Head of the General Department of Police or his deputy as well as representatives from National Human Rights Commission and Mongolian Bar Association, which was unanimously agreed by parliamentarians and the draft resolution will be introduced at the plenary session of the parliament.
