Within his official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG), the Speaker of parliament Z.Enkhbold Sunday received Mr Stephan Weil, the Prime Minister of Lower Saxony State.
The latter expressed a satisfaction with meeting Mongolian Speaker and said that the CeBIT international IT exhibition, in which Mr Enkhbold is to take part as the guest of honor, will contribute to Germany’s economy.
"Here the Lower Saxon State is ranked first by its industrial development, the second by its area, and is fourth by the population. Germany highly speaks Mongolia's achievements in developing the democracy in the last 25 years," Mr Weil said.
Hr also said that building up a sustainable democratic society is not an easy challenge, "and I want to congratulate Mongolia on being greatly enthusiastic and brave in overcoming such a hard challenge. I see that accompanying You group has representatives of all political parties, and this really meets the democratic principle. If our delegation visits Mongolia, we will adhere to this principle".
In response, Mr Enkhbold said Germany is the main partner of Mongolia in Europe and emphasized that the Mongolia-Germany comprehensive partnership relations have been developing actively in many spheres. As the history says, "our countries started the relations far before the democratic revolution of Mongolia. Mongolia sent its youths to Germany to study in universities in 1920s," he said.
“Lower Saxon has a huge experience in hosting international exhibitions. CeBIT is a well-known exhibition, so Mongolia has a willingness to study this expertise," he said.
"Mongolia is an agricultural country. Our mining sector is also booming, which gives the tow countries nice chance to collaborate in these sectors," Mr Enkhbold noted.
Present at the meeting were also L.Bold, head of the Mongolia-Germany inter-parliamentary group; Ts.Nyamdorj, O.Enkhtuvshin, L.Erdenechimeg, Z.Bayanselenge MPs; Ts.Bolor, the Ambassador of Mongolia to Germany; and other officials.
