On the sidelines of his official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, the Chairman of the State Great Khural Z.Enkhbold received on March 15 the Lord Mayor of Hannover city  Mr Stefan Schostok.  

The latter said he was glad that Mr Enkhbold was paying an official visit to Germany as the relations between the two countries are developing in every field. He has been appointed in charge of the organization of the CEBIT Exhibition that is opening in Hannover, he is focusing on expanding the scope of the exhibition, said the Lord Mayor and noted that this event is of great importance in all spheres. The exhibition has attracted 3,300 companies from over 70 countries.

Some 40 citizens of Mongolia live in Hannover, he noted. "We are living in the era of higher technology, but meeting with each other in person is crucial, and I appreciate this chance to meet with You," he said and asked the Speaker to sign the book of Honored guests.

After signing the book, the Speaker gave a speech. "I am glad to have started my visit to Germany from the capital of the Lower Saxony state–Hannover. Germany is one of the key partners of Mongolia in Europe”, he said. He also noted that he will attend the official ceremony for the opening of the Exhibition and expressed once again his satisfaction with his visit to Hannover.

He noted that the bilateral relations can be intensified in tourism sector, mentioning Mongolia’s participation in the ITB Berlin as the official partner. Some of Mongolian aimags and cities are inking cooperation with the German states of Bayern and Hessen. He emphasized the importance of intensifying the relations between the localities and of commencing the cooperation with Hannover by involving the administrators and private sector representatives in various exhibitions hosted by Mongolia.

Mr Schostok, after the meeting, gave the Speaker a tour around the New Town Hall, the administration building of Hannover city.

Present at the event were the head of Mongolia-Germany parliamentary group L.Bold MP; Ts.Nyamdorj, O.Enkhtuvshin, L.Erdenechimeg and Z.Bayanselenge MPs; the Ambassador of Mongolia to Germany Ts.Bolor.
